Crews on scene of a working house fire in the 200 block of N. 6th Ave. Crews were able to contain the fire to the attic space but the family of 2 with 2 dogs will be displaced. No injuries on scene and cause is under investigation.

Late Tuesday afternoon a semi carrying fracking fluids lost one of its 330 gallon totes just south of Hwy 85 and Bromley. The northbound highway has been shut down since approximately 5 p.m. while crews clean up the spill.
This weekend crews will be conducting training on Saturday and Sunday at the Downtown Plaza building located at Bridge Street and Main Street. Today Brighton Fire, North Metro Fire Rescue District, City of Thornton Fire Department, and South Adams County Fire Department took part in a Trench Rescue demonstration as part of the North Area Technical Rescue Team.
