The Brighton community celebrated the dedication of the city’s new Vietnam Veterans Memorial on May 28. The memorial is located on the corner of 4th Avenue and Jessup Street and features the names of approximately 200 Brighton-area veterans that served in the Vietnam War.
The city, alongside a group of local Vietnam War veterans, planned and gathered names for the memorial for over a year. The memorial features six granite stones with the names of the Vietnam War veterans as well as a center stone for those from the Brighton area that were killed in action.
