We love rangers all over the world!

It’s #WorldRangerDay! First organized by the International Ranger Federation (IRF), World Ranger Day also honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice protecting visitors and resources.

In 1872, Yellowstone National Park became the world’s first federally designated national park. Since then, protected areas have been established around the world. Rangers remain a key force in protecting these resources through law enforcement, environmental education, community relations, fighting fires, historic preservation, interpretation, conducting search and rescues, and in many other ways.
