Brighton police have located a body they believe to be that of a man wanted in a recent homicide, dead from an apparent suicide.

Preliminary investigations appear to confirm the identity of a body found in a field near the location of the crime is that of 33-year-old Ryan Johnson, who was wanted by police for questioning in a homicide which took place in the early-morning hours of September 20th. Police had issued public safety alerts about Johnson, who they believed to be armed and dangerous.

While the case remains open and positive identification of Johnson’s body is still underway, Brighton police are confident any danger Johnson presented to the public has passed, and would like to thank residents for their patience and assistance during the course of this investigation.
