Prairie View High School Homecoming Week continues through the weekend with the theme of “A Trip Around the World.”
Students rocked dressing up during Spirit Week — one staff member wore an AC DC concert T-shirt on Sept. 20 when it was “Dress up for the Decades.” To show school spirit, students dressed up wearing leather jackets for the 50s, showing peace for the 60s, tie-dye for the 70s and colorful clothes for the 80s. The 1990s and other decades were represented as well.
A Homecoming assembly was held for students on Sept. 21 and the festivities continue with a Powder Puff game before the Thunderhawks Varsity football team plays Northglenn High School tonight. Royalty will be crowned in the stadium during halftime. On Sept. 22, a Homecoming Dance will be held for students in the Prairie View High gym.
While weather rained out the bonfire, other Homecoming activities this week have included a talent show and a Peach Fuzz Volleyball game played by senior and junior boys. Go Thunderhawks and enjoy the Homecoming game and dance this weekend!
